German company Hetzner Online AG announced its plans to situate a new data centre in Finland, highly likely to be located in the south of Finland.
German company Hetzner Online AG announced its plans to situate a new data centre in Finland, highly likely to be located in the south of Finland. Moreover, the company is now investing in the ongoing Cinia project to construct a submarine cable connection between Finland and Germany. According to Sirpa Paatero, the minister responsible for state ownership steering, a fast, high quality, cyber safe connection to European and global networks through a submarine optical fibre cable supports the growth of the digital economy and the industrial Internet in Finland. The cable will also increase Kainuus potential as a data centre location. There has been substantial growth in the two operational data centers since their arrival' in Kajaani and all indications are that the world beating infrastructure, coupled with huge advances in competency, competitiveness and accreditation will continue to drive more business to the region.
